I'm leaving, on a jet plane.........

Now, keeping in mind that this is a warm up for Michigan, I am still SOOOO ready to escape to the warm weather of Madeira Beach and find a spot on the beach and just soak up the sweet rays of the sun!  (Yes, it has been sunny here but it's also been ridiculously cold...I threw in the towel weeks ago!)

Tomorrow is the big day.  Sophie has asked for the "Florida Story" so many times I thought I should put it on here so she can look back and remember it:

When I put you to bed, I'm going to put you in your fleece (fuzzy) pants for the next day so you will already be dressed.  In the middle of the night, daddy will carry you to the car and buckle you in.  If you wake up, try to go back to sleep.  We have a long ride to the airport.  When we get to the airport, daddy will drop us off at the door with the bags and he will go park the car.  When we get inside, we need to go to the desk to give them our luggage, and then we will wait in line for security.  At security, we put our backpacks through an xray machine and they take a picture of the inside!  Once we get through security, we find the gate that our airplane will be waiting at.  It won't be time to get on yet and it will probably still be dark.  You might be able to see planes outside the windows.  This is a good time to try and rest your eyes.  Before it's our turn to board the plane, mommy and daddy will ask you to try and go potty, even if you don't have to go, you have to try.  Once we get on the plane, we'll have to wait for everyone else and then buckle in.  It's important to leave your buckle on all the time.  It's a long flight to Florida, like driving to Aunt Chrissy's house, so this is a really good time to try and go to sleep.  As we get higher and higher we'll be able to see the houses get smaller and smaller and eventually we'll be above the clouds and all we'll see is clouds.  When we land, the plane will go bumpety bumpety bump and screeeeech!  Then it's time to get off the plane and find our bags.  Aunt Connie will be waiting to pick us up after we get our bags and then we will drive to Aunt Connie's house to drop her off so she can go to sleep.  This time in the car is a really good time to take a nap; if you are sleeping when we get to the grocery store, daddy will wait in the car with you.  After we get groceries, we need to check in at the condo, get our keys, and listen to the instructions again.  Once we are in our room, daddy will bring up the bags and groceries and we can start putting some stuff away.  This is a great time to get our swimsuits on and get ready to enjoy the OUTDOORS!

That, my friends, is the "Florida Story".  To be continued.....
